Wabashis the place you should be each Monday at 9:00pm.The Musician's Network, a new organization of Chicago musicians founded by guitar player/vocalist Bernard Crump, can be seen at this popular South Loop nite spot weekly. On any given Monday, you never know who will show up to do a little "jamming" at this open session. In recent weeks, the elite in Chicago's jazz and funk performing here have included: saxophonists "Skinny Williams" and James Perkins; keyboard players Larry Hanks and Charles Johnson; drummers Ernie Adams, Charles Heath and Vern Allison; bassists Frank Russell and Maurice Houston; guitarists Buddy Fambro and Keith Henderson; and vocalists Joan Colasso, Mae, and Lorna Boston, to just name a few. The true beauty of this young organization is the opportunity it affords up and coming young talented musicians. ![]() Jumaane has been tapping for 13 years and is on his way to stardom. This young phenom is going places. Watch out Savion Glover and Maurice Hines: This young talent will be heard from! Other young artists gracing the stage have included recent "Chicago Idol" winners Russoul, neo-soul singer A-One, and vocalist Danny Boy.
